TV H.O.T. problems
replaced horizontal output transister set worked for about a month and then blew it again. Any suggestions? Is the D1879 and the D1878 different and is there a way to find this out online?

Depending on the set some just won't work with a sub.The old ctc169 chasis in rca big screens had that problem. But I think it's more to do with who's making the sub.The subs I use now for them work fine.
There is allways the possibility that there is another part that is causing the problem. On some older magnavox tvs the chasis would get a bad solder connection on the horizontal drive transformer that would kill the HOT intermittenly.

This is happening on my mitsubishi set. When I got it originally one of the things that I had to replace was the HO trinsistor. Which is a month or so ago. I will change it again and see. I subbed it with Identical part #. Will keep you posted. Thanks again.
