Will this harm my system?

Hi:
My home theater receiver has zone-two and line-out connections. Currently I use zone-two to drive other speakers in the house. I want to include a receiver in the basement in the mix. Can I run the zone-two direct to an auxillary connect on the basement receiver or does it have go through the line-out connectors? In other words, will I do any harm running a speaker-out from one receiver to an input on another receiver?

Thanks.

IIRC different impedances and voltage levels...not good. Use line out to line in.

What Gunguy said. Never connect the speaker lines to anything but speakers! You could blow up both devices.

Not sure how much this will help you, but I know that with car audio, they have a speaker to line level converter. Something like this (example only): Scosche SLC4 Four-channel line output converter at Crutchfield.com
