LCD display on a radio

I have a am/fm radio with LCD display for clock & tuner. Problem is the LCD no longer displays. Like it is burn out.
I have had watches in the past that did the same thing and just tossed them out. This radio plays great and picks up the stations I want. I paid $250 for it 4 years ago and don't want to toss it. We had a power outage last month and the settings were lost. I want to find my station again, but with no display, I don't know where I am at.
My question is there any way to get the LCD to display again?
Thanks

Its possible (not probable though) that the flat flex cable for the display has come unplugged from the main board. Not something I would normally suspect for a radio like that. It would involve pulling it apart, which could cause it to never work again.

If you post the brand and model, maybe someone will be able to look it up, if its a good brand.

Best I can advise...sorry.
