I have an older model sci-atl cable box it only has 62 channels,can I add channels to it or do I have to rent one from the cable co? My tv doesnt have a remote so i would like to keep it, i dont have premium channels thats why i dont want to rent one.thank you jpm

The cost to upgrade the Scientific Atlanta box would be prohibitive. In short, it would cost you as much as purchasing a new one. If you are not going to purchase the premium channels, it would be easier to get a 180 channel VCR on the system and use its tuner. There's no percentages in renting a box from the cable company.
