TV

Have an RCA ColorTrack TV. All of a sudden it is flipping channels all by itself, and the volume is going up at the same time. Turn the thing off and in 15 minutes is ok again for an hour, a day or even a week. What's going on with this thing!

Sorry! I missed this one by accident. I suspect the TV is being subjected to a strange light source such as fluorescent. Some form of light is emitting a light freqency close to the Infra-Red signal from your remote.
In worst cases, try this fix: cut a piece of black electricians tape the length of the infra red sensor on the front of the TV set. Using an exacto knife (or some such sharp instrument) cut a retangular opening in the tape approx 1/8" x 1/2" lengthwise. (measurements are not critical). Place the tape over the Infra Red sensor on the front of the TV. This will desensitize the Infra Red receiver to alternate light sources.

This should cure the problem for you.
