I have a Symphonic TV/VCR (model: TVCR13D1, in case you need that) and the power only runs for about 10-15 seconds from power up until the power automatically shuts off. It can be immediately turned back on, but only stays on for 10-15 seconds. I took off the case and nothing is loose that I can tell, anyone have any ideas of what I should do? Wires to look at and such. Thanks.

A lot of equipment these days has a "power good" check that will shut down the power supply if the voltages or ripple content is out of bounds. That's what this sounds like to me. There is some problem in the power supply and the automatic shutdown is cutting it off to prevent damage to the TV/VCR. The last TV I worked on with this problem had a bad capacitor, which was clearly visible when I opened it up. It could be caused by other things though. Best bet is to have a shop look at it.
