RCA F36668 36" TV color issues

I recently picket up this RCA set and the color is all messed up. It was a free TV so it's not really a huge thing, but I would like to get it fixed if possible. When I turn it on, there is picture and sound, however the color is all blue and red. Any suggestions on how I can resolve this? Google turned up nothing.

Sounds like your green color is out. Could be anything from a bad green gun in the picture tube to a failure somewhere along the way in the green chroma circuit. Unless you have pretty good electronic troubleshooting skills, this set is probably a candidate for the landfill. Used CRT TV's are so cheap nowadays that it usually isn't worth the money to have them professionally repaired. Another thing to consider is that late model RCA's are RCA's in name only. After Thompson bought the rights to the RCA name years ago, they've since sold it off, so the current crop of products bearing the RCA label are built by third-tier Chinese companies and are of poor quality, not to be confused with the quality products built 30 or more years ago when RCA was headquartered in Indianapolis.

I figured it was pretty much toast. I'm no electrician by any means but I like to tinker around with electronics. I picked this one up as a temporary replacement for my big screen that just stopped working. Thanks for the reply.
