HOW to hook up HDTV to stereo system when TV has no audio rca jacks, New TV

Simple Q: But need to make sure! My HD tv does not have any rca audio jacks, just a digital audio jack.
I have my VCR, DVD both hooked to sterep system,
If i had a cable box i could use the jacks on it, But, No cable TV, local antenna.
So, I DO HAVE an RF moduator. Can i use it to get the audio feed to my stereo system? TV has svideo, hdmi, all that stuff, just no RCA jacks.

I have not seen a tv with out rca jacks.

What is the make and model?

If it is true then just use a splitter. HDMI to 3 RCA + VGA Cable M/M 1.8ft/6ft: Electronics

The modulator does the opposite of what you need. It takes line-level sources and converts them to a TV channel.

If the TV has spigots for external speakers you could use a Speaker to Line Level Converter.

Lightbulb HDTV Stereo Audio to Stereo Amp?

I have an Element HDTV with this problem - No RCA L/R Audio Output! It has a Digital Audio RCA Jack Output, but my Stereo does not have Digital Input. There are converters selling for $40 and up, or if you subscribe to cable, your cable box should have RCA L/R Audio Output Jacks. If you go this route you might find that muting your TV speakers with the TV Remote (every time you turn it on) will prevent undesirable echos. Do not Mute with the cable box remote, this will shut off the L/R output

Any old stereo sound or new home theater sound trumps krappy TV speakers!
