running speaker wire out of the house

I was wondering what is the best/cleanest way to run speaker wire out of my office to my deck. Is it ridiculous to consider drilling throught the wall? Is the only smart option to use a door or window?
What is the best way to feed it through the insulated wall?
thanks

Have you concidered wireless speakers?
I would not run speaker wire out a window or door as a perminent setup. It'll damage the seal over time.
For a wired solution, you should be able to drill through the wall and put a weather proof box on the outside. Inside the box, I'd suggest putting a terminal connection so you can remove the speakers and wire when not in use.

Again, wireless would be the easiest and probably cheapest in the long run.

I think Mike's bang on. Two years ago, I spent a day fishing exterior speaker wire through two holes I drilled in my floor, through our crawlspace, out a vent in the crawlspace, under my closed in deck, etc. It was a horrible, terrible experience.

I've used them twice. Now I just turn my amp up louder.

My friend has the wireless speakers and absolutely loves them.
