White bar on tv

I have a samsung un46c6400rf with a white bar on the screen and i don't know if it's one of the broads or if a ribbon needs to be replaced. I did notice on the right of the ribbon cable had a bubble on it, could this be the cause of the problem or is it something else?

Welcome to the forums.

I was checking for known problems and the only one I could find was intermittent connections where the plugs attached to the four sides of the screen. Many Samsung tv's had capacitor issues in the power supply but this model seems to relatively immune from that problem.

Yeah, I tried looking around (google searched) for any related problems but some people said it's the t-con board or the lcd needs to be replaced.

Usually if the LCD is bad the bar is black.

In looking again at your picture.....that ribbon cable looks like it has a broken foil.
