Flat screen TVs have always bothered my eyes and I hate them. Does anyone know where I can buy a new tube style tv...??? the old style....maybe 22 inch or so..

All manufacturers stopped making CRTs about 3 years ago. You can't buy them in any store anymore.
And there's no way an LCD would bother your eyes if a CRT doesn't. At its absolute LOWEST resolution, an LCD refreshes at least twice as fast as a CRT.

I've got 2 CRT's...ones a 10 y/o Sony in the garage and ones a 7 y/o Samsung in the spare bedroom. Both work great. If you happen to drive through my town you can have either one for free. They both weigh about 100lb and the Samsung is even high def and digital. I'll gladly give one away to upgrade to a 32" or bigger LCD.
Otherwise, thrift stores, yardsales, and Freecycle.Org are your only real choices.
One thing about LCD TVs is the viewing angle. They've gotten much better, but you should still try to get as straight a view as possible.

I have a 27 inch JVC that still has a very good picture after it warms up a few minutes. Using it to monitor the video camera overlooking my driveway at present but if someone wants to haul it away they can have it for free.

Check with your local hospitals and schools. Many are slowly getting rid of their CRTs. 350 just got changed out at one of our hospitals. Most of the old ones worked perfectly but didn't get the new HD-only signal. Those that weren't donated were sent to a recycler.
You will also need a converter box if you want to watch HD programs.

I can't imagine why anyone would want one.
They're really, really heavy and take up so much room.
BUT, you should have a trash/recycling location near you somewhere. There's loads of them there for free.
