HITACCHI 57F510 TV problem

I have a HITACCHI 57F510 TV and the picture is starting to break up. I am suspecting that the lamp is the problem as it is 10 years old. Can you tell me if it is possible for a non tech person like me to replace the lamp. I see a lot of screws holding the back cover together which shouldn't be a problem but not sure what I will be up against when I get it off.
Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forums.

That Hitachi TV is a CRT (cathode ray tube) type unit. No replaceable lamp. If you had a tube problem..... only a single color would be affected. Your problem may be intermittent board connectors or a driver board failure.

Have you tried different inputs into the TV ?
