OTA Antenna Signal Splitter

So, I got confused by all of the options out there. MHz ratings, Splitter vs Tap, Powered vs Passive... Digital, etc.

I simply need to split an OTA antenna signal to two devices, an HDTV and a Simple.TV DVR. The antenna is powered (it's actually one of those Mohu Leaf ones) and the split would have a long run and a short run.

I am thinking about this too hard? Probably. So what kind of splitter do I need for that job?

Yes, you probably are. Ideally, you want a balanced 2 way splitter so the outputs are equally divided. (I think all 2 way are balanced, it's when you go to 3 or more it's an issue) 1Ghz is what you are looking for (do they even still sell the lower freq type?)

You can find them with those specs from $3-6 dollars. Any should be fine.
