Old 720 P Toshiba Picture Size Problem

The width of the picture doesn't fit the screen. It doesn't matter what picture size I select. If there is an inset showing score in a sporting event, only half of the inset will be in my picture. Are there any adjustments for this?

Model 42HL67. I used to have two of these, but fortunately someone stole one of them.

There aren't any electrical adjustments but there are several pictures setting methods. The manual below details them. I know you said tried basic picture size but look over the instructions and see if there is something you missed. The instructions start on page 39.

If you have that TV connected directly to a cable box..... there are also user settings in the box itself.

I don't recall the set doing this when it was new and Comcast was the signal source. I since converted to Dish. Could that be the cause?

Fixed It

The Dish box was set to "stretch" format. Returning it to "normal" put the picture back on my screen. Thanks for the help. It got me thinking outside my very small box.
