Question Toshiba SD 3815 Intermediate Video Loss/No Video

I bought two of these players used and they both do the same thing losing the video signal intermediately or no video signal at all. When I lose it I can sometimes play around with the s video hook up and that will bring it back or even by stomping my foot on the floor ... when I don't get a signal at all sometimes... nothing I do helps. I''m hoping to get at least one playing right. Any ideas what I can do? There are not many new 5 disc DVD players on the market for a reasonable price.

Try connecting the unit with an audio/video line connection instead of S-video. Possibly the S-video input has a problem on your TV.

Try using the red circled component outputs or the blue circled line outputs.

Arrow Different TV Different Hook Up

I have a different TV than the one I had with an S Jack I have to use the component 3 patch hook up and I'm getting no signal. The TV I have now only has the 3 patch component or a HDMI hook up. So my only hook up choice is the component and I am not getting a signal.:NO NO NO: Is there any way to correct it? Both machines behave the same way.

Arrow Have Sceptre 48" E485BV-FMQR

Here is a link to the manual ... Check out page 13 you will be able to see what ports it has. There is another video hook up, I will have to try it and see what happens.

Try connecting from the blue box area on the DVD player to port 1 (according to picture) on that TV.

Thumbs up By Golly That Worked

Well sir ... I hooked up the DVD to the video and left right audio plugs on the TV ... that did the trick. I have audio and video now. When I get a chance I will try the other unit and see if it will work that way too.
