When I push the power on/off button on my Goldstar t.v. it clicks twice and does not turn on. Is it possible to fix this myself or do I need to have it repaired or replaced? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thumbs up

Good Afternoon, bdocker:
If you are electronically inclined, the problem is most likely a shorted diode in the power supply. Not uncommon in this range of television sets. The double click is the circuit breaker circuit activating from overload.

Either way, the cover has to come off the set and a little on on one troubleshooting is in order. It may be simple or it may be a short that is occurring anywhere in the set. But, the power supply is the first logical check.
