VCR hookup

Have an extra flat screen tv, want to use it just to play dvd's and vcr tapes. The dvd player works fine, but, cannot get the vcr to play through the tv. Can it be done and if so, your knowledge would be a great help to me.....have allot of vcr tapes and want to use it in conjunction with just one tv used for just that and dvd's.

There could be a little switch on the back of the VCR that selects channel 3 or 4. Whichever you select, make sure your TV is on that channel.

You could post a picture of the back of the TV and the player. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...-pictures.html
We could tell you better how to connect it.

TV tuners on newer TV's are backwards compatible as they will work with older channel 3 (analog) equipment.

Depending on how you have everything hooked up, on my Vizio I have dvd on HDMI and the vcr on RGB so I have to switch "input" with the TV remote.
