I have a 3 year old Philips 32PFL4609/F7. It stopped working. I was watching it when all of a sudden it shut itself off. When I used the remote to turn it back on, it turned itself off again. Repeat, repeat. I tried turning it on with the manual button but the same thing happened. Found some troubleshooting online, recommending to unplug it, wait, then turn it back on. That didn't work. No troubleshooting works. A part must be dead. I've taken a picture of the hardware, maybe somebody can tell me which part I have to replace? The multimeter isn't telling me anything but I could be using it wrong. There's only 1 repair shop around here and he told me to just buy a new TV. But the same thing will probably happen to that TV in a couple of years. I want to fix it instead.
My daughter bought a house that has a Elan whole house stereo system with the
amplifier in the basement and wall switch controllers on each floor. The amp went bad and I don't really want to go back with Elan again. Starting on the main floor first,
which has 3 ceiling mount speakers and the controller on this floor has 4 speaker
wires going into the controller and four wires going out into the amplifier. I don't
really get 3 speakers and 4 wires (right plus and minus, and left plus and minus). So
I get they are run parallel but I thought that would give you two wires coming from
the three speakers. Can someone please help me with this. Thanks in advance.
