Speakers: Front Height vs. Top Middle vs. Rear Surround?
My receiver (Denon AVR-S910W) is 7.2 channels (front right/center/left, surround right/left, front height right/left; and two subwoofers), but it can also be configured so that instead of the front height channels I can get: i) two top middle (ceiling) speakers, or ii) rear surround left/right. My receiver is able to handle Atmos and DTS:X.
I am doing some remodeling and need to decide whether I want the front height channels, the top middle channels, or the rear surround channels. Anyone have any thoughts on what I would get more use out of in general? (If it matters, the placement of the front height speakers and the top middle speakers would be more or less idea, with the rear surrounds not being ideally positioned.)
Thanks!
