Does a DVD recorder read while writing discs?
I have a DVD recorder that doesn't read discs. Does this mean it won't record either? Does it read while in the process of recording or is this not the case and it may still be able to record also?

If it won't read discs it's highly unlikely it will record any.
It only does one function at a time.
