I was given a Sanyo MR-1020 that needs a little work.
When I powered it on, it was immediately obvious the tape had not been installed properly.
I've not been able to find a user's manual, so need help in threading the tape properly.
Any reel-to-reel guys/gals here?
Hi: Thanks. Your directions seem to be right. The middle spindle turns on the rubber wheel, but the take-up reel won't turn so the tape doesn't advance. If I remove the reel and hit play, the reel spindle turns fine.
I may have to open this thing up?
That needs a lot of work.
All the felt pads are gone from the tape pressure pads.
That's a dual direction machine. They are very complicated to get both directions to play.
Pinch roller very worn.
Focus on Forward direction to start.
The tape loads horizontally as you are missing the head covers.
A service manual of sorts.... (download button on page) Sanyo manual
FE= forward erase FP= forward play/record ... RE= reverse erase RP=reverse play/record
Blue circles are cover mounting posts.
Your #2 and #5 may be missing adjustment screws.
Definitely around #1 and #7
I'm little unclear of #1A and 6.
Greetings,
I have SAMSUNG 75" Class 4K (2160P) Ultra HD Smart LED TV UN75NU6900 which abruptly died yesterday on us while we we watching it.
The TV set gave a very like a gun shot sound: short and loud bum and the screen turned black and it was it.
What could be a reason for it and how to fix it?
We are out of warranty I would guess, it was bought in 2018.
Thanks much in advance,
Alex.Read More
I have a Panasonic TH-58PX600U plasma TV purchased in 2007. Other than the defunct TVGOS 15 second delay on power-up that I have never been to figure out how to override, the TV has worked fine. A couple of months ago I dumped cable and now use streaming. I also get good reception of local OTA channels.
Recently while watching TV through streaming there was a loud SNAP sound and the volume fluctuated loud-soft a couple of times. This has happened three or four times in the last 2 weeks. The video was not affected and the TV continued to operate normally after each incident.
I mention that this occurred while streaming because my Roku via HDMI is connected through an Onkyo TXSR373 and the TV sound output feeds through the Onkyo to home theater speakers. (My OTA sound is via the TV speakers.)
Since it does not occur on a regular basis and I do not watch much OTA programming, using the TV speakers to determine whether the problem is the TV or the Onkyo is unlikely.
Several years ago I found a software update that I did not apply since I could not see a way to return to the old one that was working fine and did not want to risk.
Is there any way to diagnose what may be causing the problem? If a failure occurs are replacement parts for this vintage TV likely to be available?Read More
