Cool

Actually, I clicked a link in my 'favorites' list to retrieve a tip involving the use of a router, the wind came up, the house started to move, and I ended up here! Are you a good wit...(nevermind). This is exactly the site that I've been looking for (your people make the site). Regarding a 20" Mitsubishi TV; 5(?) years old (probably closer to 10), recently won't tune in stations lower than #44 (sometimes yes, usually no), sometimes changes channels by itself with untouched remote in view (yes, there is a cemetary next to us). As another member wrote recently we can bring in all channels via the VCR. 'Same advice ('probably the tuner...use the VCR)? Thank-you!!

Using the VCR tuner is the best and simplest remedy. I also suggest that you use some Elmer's Glue and Bungie Cords to help keep the house on its' foundation

Cool

bigmike, Thank-you!! I'll try the JB. These 'Post-It' notes do not seem to be working. 'Concerning the bright light; now that you mention it...at night there is a randomly pulsating light eminating from somewhere within the room with this TV. It seems to happen...when the TV is on...and all other lights are out!(?) Usually the image of a lttle girl appears...she's sitting on the floor in front of the TV mumbling something about us having company. Thanks (I think) for the channel advice though I'm not thrilled about adding the age to the VCR. Big stones, huh? (CAN you remember the sixties)?

This is probably not it, but since you mentioned that channels sometimes change by itself, take the batteries out of the remote and use only the tv tuner control at the tv itself, to see if you have the same problem, just checking for a sticking remote control button. You didn't by chance leave another similiar remote in the nearby cemetary did you ????

Cool Light

Now I remember what I was getting at about the light, too much light in the room can/will effect remote recvrs. Try taking a piece of black tape and cut a very small rectangle in the middle of it, place it over the IR sensor on the set. I remember the old TV's that used harmonics to change channels/volume. Would walk in the house and jingle my car keys, turn the channels etc. Mom would get fightin mad when I would mess up her "Stories".
