Purchased in 1995. Good working set, but lately when turning on in the morning, picture and sound are ok for 2 minutes ,then picture and sound dissappear and only snow is left. In the next few minutes (1-15) picture and sound return then dissappear again. This has be going on for about 3 months. Today it finally has only snow(no picture,no sound(just noise). Also when we had a picture it would studder vertically(double image vertically), and it would have "tearing"lines from the left bottom side of the picture.
Any help will be appreciated.

A picture with nothing but snow indicates either a channel selector (tuner) or a bad antenna connection. Have you tried another TV on the antenna connection to be sure you have a signal?

The rolling and tearing of the picture may well be part of the tuner problem. The TV signal you receive contains synchronizations signals to stabilize your picture both horizontally and vertically. If the incoming signal is compromised, these signals may have been missing.
