Hitachi 50" projection adjustment

Hitachi 50" projection adjustment
I have a 50" Hitachi projection TV, that is in good working order, and has a relatively good picture, except that the red (and possibly the blue) gun seems to be slightly rotated out of sync.
This is only a problem when trying to read text, such as the on screen channel guide on my Satellite system, or the score board that is displayed at the top of the screen during football games. The beam convergance works fine, but only adjusts in the X and Y directions. This problem can not be corrected by use of this, because when I get the convergance to the closest thing to alignment, the top left will be too far up, and the bottom right will be too far down. If anyone knows how to adjust this, I would appreciate it.
It is a model 50DX01B, purchased in fall of 2000.
Thanks

Good evening, baylorrk:
Sounds like you have a mechanical adjustment rather than an electrical adjustment. Either the deflection yokes on the affected tubes have shifted or the tubes, themselves, have shifted. A real rare situation.
Suggest you pick up a repair manual on the set and make the mechanical adjustment, yourself. Easy to do but time consuming.
