Good evening, bradie:
Now, slow down. Take a deep breath. And, let's start all over again.
Let's assume that I am an old guy in Tennessee, can't see your installation on my computer monitor, etc. I have a genuine desire to help you, of course.
But, you are going to have to explain it a little more clearly. Now is it hooked up? What is connected to what?
But, I am sorry. Your inquiry is so vague that I cannot offer a definitive answer. My heart goes out to you.

I feel your pain. Recently added dvd to tv/sat/vcr and had to get a switching box from Circuit City. The bad news is that it was about $80 (made by Sony). The good news is that it works like a champ, was easy to hook up, and has an auto-switching mode. It accepts up to four input signals and has one output to tv. All outputs are to the same tv channel (00 on my tv).
Hope this helps.
Hope this helps.

hooking up etc,etc
ok here goes...I would like to connect dish net satellite, roof top antenna, vcr, dvd.
I followed the wires and this is what I have....
tv ant coax into tv ant in slot on dish, sat. coax into sat. slot on dish rcvr also.
On sat. recvr. my tv out (coax) goes to vcr into "from antenna" slot. Coax also going out of vcr to back of tv.
My av cables are as follows:
av out from sat. rcvr. into vcr in slot.
(but the vcr only has 2 set of white and yellow, no place for the red plug)
Then av cables from dvd into back of tv. ( tv has only 1 set of av plugs)
Hope this helps, and thank you again..

Good morning, bradie:
Thank you for taking the time to give me all the information. The solution is relatively simple. Drop down to your local Radio Shack and ask for their Model 15-1976 4-Input Audio/Video Selector and install it in the system.
The switcher will accept satellite, DVD, VCR, etc and will change standard composite video to S-VHS (Y-C) output on a common cable. No more changing cables around and is quite versatile.
The unit sells for about $40.
