Question Microphone on stereo receiver
is it possible to wire a microphone on a stereo receiver to the aux. input and have it work or cant it be done?

Not likely, the impedance of the mic precludes it from working on this type of input.

Not necessarily impedance, but signal levels.

You need some sort of amplifier, such as a mini microphone mixer.
