Brick ledge
I'm planning a house that will be predominantly brick veneer but will have some cultured (cast) stone accents on the front around the porch and entry. The installation instructions (for the cultured stone) state that no brick ledge is required. However, if I don't have some sort of ledge, the bottom of the brick (with a 1-1/2" ledge on the slab foundation) won't line up with the bottom of the cultured stone. I'm thinking of maybe using a 1x2 for a "mini" brick ledge. Any suggestions?
