Wallboard cost estimate

I am building a home (doing my own general contracting). I have no idea what wallboard installation will run. I realize that labor varies greatly by location, but does anyone have any idea or experience as to what it should run per square foot of wall/ceiling? Does $1.05 unpainted sound reasonable? That was quoted to me for labor and materials. I ask because I am having trouble getting other estimates.

That is a very fair price, especially if they hang it, tape and texture. Most of the time, the sheetrocker only hangs the sheetrock, then the taper come. This way you will probably save a little. One of the reasons you are having trouble getting bids, is that most subs will not work for a person acting as their own contractor. The reason is most of the time the subs get stiffed by the owner. My company would never do work for a person acting as their own contractor for that very reason.
