New House - Cracked Concrete

New House - Cracked Concrete
Our new house is in the final stages of construction - we will probably close mid-January.
We have a sliding glass door in our basement (a walkout). There is a small ledge of concrete right outside the door (extends maybe 2 or 3 inches out from the door ), and then about a 4" or 5" drop to the ground outside the door. I noticed a crack in this concrete, perpendicular to the door, about 12" in from the left edge of the door, that runs the whole 2 or 3 inches and down through the concrete.
Is this significant, or normal settlement?

It sounds to me like when they put in your door, they ran a concrete bolt down into the concrete to hold the door frame. This was close to the edge of the concrete so it probably just cracked out. Very insignificient. Like I always tell people. If you have concrete, it is going to crack. It is just the nature of the beast.
Have a good day.
