roof line for ranch addition
Planning on adding addition to front of ranch home. House is 36 feet long in front with slope of roof facing front and back. Would like to add addition entire length of house 16 feet out. What kind of roof lines would be good for this? One contractor wants to make one peak higher than existing peak. I think this would overpower house. Another one wants to make one peak to match existing peak, which would make a very low pitch, or make 2 matching peaks, which I don;t think would look good. I just don't like the idea of one peak on 36 ft length. I guess these contractors have no imagination. Any ideas? Am on narrow lot, can't add on anywhere but front. Back has patio room.

Roof lines
Irregular (nonmatching) roof lines tend to make for the most visual interest. Perhaps if you could get a sketch it would help you make a decision.
