Humidifier Operation
How do I know that my Humidifier is working. I have the "General" Model 1040 Power Humidifier. Is there something that i need to do. Some kind of button to press, or and on and off switch that needs to be flicked.
Thanks, Chef of the Future.

Do you have the humidastat turned on?
This is a by pass unit, so you should have a small flow of water going down the drain line.
Make sure the water valve is turned on that feeds the unit.
If all is on, and not getting water flow down the drain line, check to make sure you are getting water to the unit itself.
If that's ok, then check to see a wire has come undone some where, also make sure the sailswitch is ok, or some type of relay that turns the unit on when the heating system is running.
YOu replaced the pad lately?
