Cool Dehumidifier and room temp??

I am having my dehumidifier serviced right now due to it not removing humidity properly. My question is about the room temperature. In the manual it says it won't operate correctly below 65 degrees. What do I do with my basement that is currently about 62 degrees? I don't want to heat it just so I can take the humidity down from about 70 to 50.

Does room temperature really affect it that much? It's not like the temperature is freezing or even cold. Just wondering if this is really a concern?

Some system will work when the temp is around 60.. Reason they say that is the coil may start freezing up, and that some times can be a mess or hard on the system..

Some newer system can run w// temp that low.
