Humidity Question?
When My Air Runs My Humidity Goes To About 51%, When It Doesent Run It Can Go To About 56%. I Feel More Comfrotable Around 48%. My House Is Around 2000 Sq Feet With A Five Ton Unit. I Have Been Told That The Unit Is That Large Because I Have Sixteen Foot Celings In Three Of My Rooms And Ten Foot Celing In The Others. I Assume That My Unit Could Be To Large And Not Run Long Enough To Keep The Humidity Down. What Can I Do? Will A De-humidifier Drop The Humidity Level Five Percent In My House? Would One Unit De-humidiy The Entire House. What About The Energy Usage, Would It Be Cheaper To Drop The Temp On My A/c Or Would It Be Cheaper To Run A De-humidifier?

Not knowing where you are at, I will say it maybe over sized.. On a hot day, does the system cycle on and off?? if so, how often?
Older or newer system??
You could get a dehumidfire and have it help dry the air.. Onlly thing if you do this, and set it in a living area, you'll have to listen to that run.
There are t-stat out there that has a build in humidty control, but most of them "over cools" the home..
There are whole house dehumidifier system. but not sure well they do? I have nto seen them.
The best thing i'd do for now, is slow down the blower in the furnace.

Slowing down the blower will slow down the air passing over the cooling coil. It'll have time to cool it down more and remove more humidity.
Care should be taken when you do this.. if not, the coil will freeze. Depends on how old and brand of your equipement, the blower speed can be changed at the blower or on the control board in the furnace.
