compressor won't stay on

I have a dehumidifier that's less than 2 years old. Has been working fine up until a few days ago. The fan stays on ok. But when it tries to start the compressor, it struggles for a few seconds and then it clicks and the compressor doesn't come on. After a while, the process keeps repeating and the compressor doesn't come on.
Where do I begin looking for the problem?

It couild be the start relay on the compressor... Check for power at the start winding when it first comes on..

Might check and see if you have a capaitor there that is bad. . See if all wires on the compressor are good . Ohm out the compressor too ground

Honeywell h360 Wiring help BIGTIME.

I will do a rundown, please help if you can. H360b Humidifier, Kenmore 80" gas fired furnace (Installed 1991) I have both the H8908B Humidistat, and I bought a RItetemp 8085C thermostat. First let me just say that I am proficient, but no expert at wiring anything. I follow diagrams and hope it work good enough for me. I had to redo the wiring on these stuff 4 times now in a matter of 2 weeks. When I removed the old Thermostat, I noticed 5 wires R,W,Y,G,B the blue seems to not be used, the end of the blue wire was not exposed. Connected the R,W,Y,G wires to the Ritetemp accordingly and everything works fine on the furnace side. The Humidifier however is the problem. I ran the two yellow wires from the H360 to the thermostat. Here is the setup and problems. 1. Y1 to H on the Ritetemp, Y2 to R power on the rite temp. Problem is when the humidity goes to a low level, the H360 runs constantly when no heat is on, and it takes forever for it to reach a level for it to stop. I have it set on 30%low and 35%high. 2. Y1 to H, Y2 to W on Ritetemp. Problem when the Humidistat kicks on, the heat kicks on which is a good thing. Unfortunately it ran all night, the temperature was up to 82 and was still running. I had the heater set to stop at 65. 3. bypass the ritetemp thermostat and hook up the two yellow wire to the H8908B. I put the Humidistat near the Ritetemp wall which is on the first floor, not on the return air duct. Problem again is when I turn the knob to about 35-40 so the humidifier would kick on, the heater is not on but the H360 continues to run. Any help as to how I go about wiring this so that it only kick on when the heater is on, and not at any other time. Humidifier wont stop leaking

Hi, we have a Hamilton model 10 HF flow through humidifier on our furnace, it leaks. I had it turned off for a long time, we opened it up this winter and changed the filter. I figured that the tube going to the condensator pump was pressurizing because the water seemed to bubble up at the top of the tube and not flow, and it would leak from the edges of the humidifier. So I poked a small hole in the tube above where the water flows down it and it seemed to work, it flowed freely. A couple months later I noticed that the floor was wet and water was backed up in the tube half way above the condensator pump. The water was still running freely from the humidifier, but the humidifier itself was also dripping excessively. I figured the pump may not be working properly so I detatched the tube from the pump and ran it to a 5 gallon bucket. It still flowed the same, and was still dripping like crazy from the humidifier. A couple hours later I found the bucket was overflowing. I didn't think it would fill that fast, it seems that theres way too much water flowing through the humidifier. (The humidifier does turn off and not leak when the furnace turns off.) I am wondering if I should go out and get a new humidifier? I don't want to buy a new one if I could just replace a malfunctioning part in it. What part?
