Honeywell HE265 Leaks

Ever since I replaced the pad in this humidifier a few weeks ago, the unit has been leaking. I've checked all the drain holes, there are no kinks in the tubing. I've noticed that alot of water is flowing through the tubing and down into the pad all the time, though, even when the furnace is not running. Is this a problem? Should the water stop when the furnace does and could this be causing my leak?

yes, the water flow should stop when the furnace stops. (blower).

Does it stop if you undo the wire to the solenold valve?

Aprilaire 600 install

I just bought an Aprilaire 600 I have limited space on the supply side of furnace to install like the instructions say to do. I read here that you can install on the return side, but I have an Aprilaire spaceguard will the moisture not stop it up it would be 2ft from the 600 if I install it on the return side. On the supply side it would sit right at the top of the a/c coil is this a problem? Also is hot water better then cold water this unit will be for winter use only. Thank you for any help JonRead More

Aprilaire 760 only runs when heat is on

My Aprilaire 760 is set to only come on only when heat is called for. This is accomplished with a relay on the heat wire from the thermostat. The fan is on 24/7 as I live in a 4 story townhouse with an open stair well and without circulation, the hot air goes right to the top. The humidifier does not keep up with the humidity level called for by the controller. My question is, can I remove the relay and let the humidifier run when the heat is off (but the fan is on)? If so, would it be better to run hot water to the humidifier?Read More
