Replacing an old Aprilaire 110

I have an Aprilaire 110 that was in my house when I bought it. Never worked. I'd like to replace it with a new unit, and was looking at the 700. Apparently this is the suggested replacement for the 110. I am reasonably competent around the house and wanted to do the install myself. Has anyone done this swap? Is this something I can do myself? Is this the right unit to install? My house is about 2500 sq ft. Any suggestions?

If you are pretty handy, I don't see it being a problem to replace the unit.

I don't know if you need to make changes in the hole that already cut out.

What's wrong with the old one?

Don't really know. It never worked. I just figured that it would be better to replace it than try to get it cleaned out and working again. Parts can be an issue since it is discontinued.
