Dehumidifier freezing up

My dehumidifier started freezing up this summer when I tried to run it in my basement. The temperature was not too cold so I am wondering what would make it freeze up? Is it possible that the freon needs to be replaced. If so can I do that myself?

If it is out of freon Id get a new one. Off the shelf models are not worth fixing.

Installation Help on Honeywell 360 with Current sensing relay

I bought a Honeywell 360 last week and installed it, but I'm having problems getting it to work. From all the posts on this site I decided not to use the sail switch and bought an A50 current sensing relay. I don't think I have it hooked up right. If got one wire from the relay going to the humidistat, which is on the supply duct. The other wire from the humidistat goes to the humidifier, and finally the other wire on the humidifer to the relay. There are 4 wires on the humidifier, 2 red and 2 yellow. I used the yellow ones and left the red ones alone? I think this is what the manual says to do. Is this correct? Also I'm not sure exactly which wire the current sensing relay needs to be around. I've got a jacketed wire going into my furnace from the house thermostat. Inside the jacketed wire there is a red, yellow, green, and white wire. There is also a black wire going from the furnace to the outside AC unit. Does it matter which one I use? I've tired all of them. The humidifier does not kick on when the furnace blower motor kicks on. Thanks in advance for any help.Read More

Installing HE220 on a Lennox 80MGF

Hi, I want to install a Honeywell HE220A on my Lennox 80MGF-6 furnace, and if possible I'd like to avoid using the Honeywell install kit that requires a sail switch and a power outlet for the 24VAC transformer. I'd rather put in a 24VAC transformer on the furnace and use that to control the humidifier. I don't have the service manual for my furnace. From the info I've bean able to read, I know that I have a couple 120V ACC posts rated at 1A on the furnace controller board (model # 33J6201) that I can use for a transformer, I'm just not sure where to but the 120V return from the transformer. My other furnace has a few posts called just that, 120V RTN, but I see nothing like that on this one. Do I have to use a 120V return that's already being used? Is that okay? Thanks for any advice.
