Mounting Honeywell transformer in furnace

Hi all,

My HE120 Honeywell humidifier came with a transformer in a plastic case to plug in a regular outlet. I managed to blow the tranformer out ( don't ask, I'm embarrased ) and bought a replacement. The replacement turned out to be a bare transformer, I guess meant for professionals to mount inside a furnace.

Can anyone offer clues as how to install such a transformer in a furnace?

A picture of it is below:

Thanks!

Transformer and furnace

Hi Jay,

The furnace brand is Frigidaire, model G6RA. The board inside of it is a Nordyne, and I measured 110 VAC off the HUM posts. So electrically it should work.

How is a humidifier transformer mounted in the furnace? Since there are 120volt wires going to it, I want to mount it securely. It has two 'ears' at an angle with threads. Here's a picture:

Thanks for any pointers,
-Mike

See if you have a knock out hole on the side of the box.. The "ears" goes into that hole, and screw into the thread to hold it in place.
