HE360A H8908B Wiring on First Co. Air Handler
Complete rookie here...
The HE360A is installed on the supply duct and the H8908B is installed on the return duct as described in the manual. Water is hooked up and it is ready to go - except for the wiring.
I have checked that the humidifier works by connecting the two yellow wires.
It is installed on a First Co. 48MBXB-HW air handler (http://www.firstco.com/products/mbxb_hw.asp). It has four leads coming out of the side, all capped.
Two are orange and marked "24V" and the other two purple and marked "T".
How do I hook this up without using the sail switch?
Do I need the A50 current sensing relay that I have seen in other postings? If so, how is that wired to my system?
This is my second unit (fried the first one because I used the red/orange wires.
Thanks
/Martin

The install manual for that company sure didn't say much...
You are going to need an A50 Relay.
What is your heat souruce?
One yellow wire from humidifer to humdistat.
Other wire from humidistat to A50 relay.
Other wire from relay back to humidifier.
A50 relay on your White wire on the blower motor.

HE360A H8908B Wiring on First Co. Air Handler
The heat source is oil, and I believe my neighbor called my system a hydro system!?
I'll go get an A50 relay. I presume I'd have to open the air handler to get to the wire!?
I'll take a picture and post for verification.

My computer skills are apparently lacking as well, for some reason I can't upload the pictures.
When I look at the wiring diagram inside the air handler, it appears that the fan motor is fed by a white N/L2 and a black "HI" and a blue "LO".
From looking at the wiring diagram, it looks like the fan motor is fed 120V.
Do I need the A50 or A51 relay then?

I have the A50 relay and wrapped it around the white wire going to the blower motor. The humidifier kicks in fine when the blower starts up, but for some reason it doesn't turn off when the blower stops. Have I wired it wrong?
Thank you for all your help in steering me onto the A50 relay, it looks like I am on right track, now I just can't get it to turn off.

Finally, I got it to work. It's spinning up and down.
I guess I had the A50 relay too close to a transformer, so it didn't de-energize once the blower turned off.
Thank you very much for your help and guidance. I'm prepared to go install the other two I have bought.
Happy Holidays
