kenmore portable humidifier model 758-144710
Clean new filters...fans working...
System was running, perfectly...
Last night, for no apparent reason, water will not dispense into the unit from the 2 plastic holding tanks which are set into unit. The fans ran all night, but the water volume in the holding tans remained the same.
The spring release on each tank's bottom flow control works when pressed, manually, but they do not allow the water to release when each tank is set in place.
I repositioned the unit (it sets on carpeting), thinking it was out of balance, but no success.
Do you have any suggestions?

That is the question. Why are these valves failing to release the water so it can wick into the evaporater filters, allowing for the humidity to be added to the air.
Now, I did verify that these valves & pegs were workig together, with an empty holding tank.
Could the pressure from the water in a full holding tank effect this operation?

I never been around this set up, but trying to picture this.. From this area where the peg pushes the stopper, is there water standing there to prevent the air going into the water tanks?... Or a channel where the water flow from the pegs into the area where the pads are maybe plugged?
