Honeywell HE360A

I recently purchased a Honeywell HE360A humidifier. I will be installing this on a new Carrier Infinity furnace (58CVA). The installation manual states the following.

Most fan powered humidifiers produce internal 24VAC in order to energizeupon a switch or contact closure.
For this application a 24VAC N.O. isolation relay DPST must be used to prevent mixing th internal humidifier power with the indoor equipment transformer. Applying 24 VAC isolation relay coil to furnace or fan coil HUM and COM teminals will allow the Infinity Control to automatically energize the HUM output during a call for humidification. The N.O. relay contacts will be used to energize the humidifier.

I need some help wiring the relay. Which terminals on the main board need to be hooked to the relay, and from the relay which terminals need to go to the humidifier? What wires do I use from the humidifer to the relay.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Correct.

Do you have the relay already?(Model#?)

If so, then you take the HUM wire from the board to the coil side of relay, and other side of coil to the C on the board.

Then yellow wire from humidifer wire it to the relay, and other wire from relay, to other Yellow wire on humidifer.

Jay,
I do not have the relay yet. As for the C on the board, I do not have that. What I do have is COM24V. I assume that this is where the other wire from the coil side of the realy goes here?

The Infinity install manual says:

Humidifier (HUM)
Connect an accessory 24VAC 0.5 amp max humidifier to the 1/4 in male HUM terminal and COM-24V screw terminal on the control board thermostat strip. The HUM terminal is energized when blower is energized in heating.

NOTE:
DO NOT connect furnace contrl HUM terminal to HUM(humidifier) terminal on Theridistat, Zone Controller, thermostat, zone controller or similar device.

Thanks for the info. Any particular relay I should be looking at?

The Honeywell R8222B relay is what you want.
