Carrier Weathermaker 9200
I felt bad about hijacking the other thread and thought some more details would be needed.
I have a Carrier Weathermaker 9200 furnace, and have installed a Honeywell HE360A Humidifier, along with a Honeywell 8908B Humidistat. I want to eliminate the sail switch, and instead have the humidifier turn on when the furnace is on (burning gas) and not only when the blower turns on (i.e. I don't want humidity added when AC is on).
I tried wiring it one way, and it didn't work. Instead of trying to explain in my less than perfect electrical knowledge, do you know of a way to make this possible?
Thanks in advance!
Nick

No, you can not use the 24v HUM on the furnace.. The humidifer has it's own transformer/24 volts..
If you did use that you are going to blow a fuse, and or burn out a transformer.
If your board has 120v EAC tap, then you can use that, and wire an outlet to it on the side of the furnace.
then you run the yellow wires right to the humidistat.
What's the full model # of your furnace if you have no luck looking for the EAC.
