HE360A with robert shaw digital humidistat and trane furnace

Wow lots of posts on how to wire up these darn humidifiers. Here is mine.

I'm going to hook up the 110v outlet to my HUM connections on my furnace to provide the A.C. line voltage. That takes care of that side of the equation (power to humidifier only when heat is on).

I have a Robert Shaw digital thermostat/humidistat I would like to use. The issue is this humidistat only has a singel hum wire that as I understand it provides 24v. The water selonoid on the HE360s yellow wires are intended to connect to their cheapo "switch" type of humidistat and a sail switch.

Is there a way to wire this humidifier up with the Robert Shaw 9801i2?

Great. Thanks for the info. Any recommendations on a particular relay to go with?

Also the wires that connect to the coil side are they both 24V? If I'm not mistaken the furnace common is 24V and the Shaw tstat HUM wire is 24V. They both get connected to the relay?

Thanks again.

hum from the thermostat is 24V hot and C is 24 V common (neutral). A general purpose relay will work as long as there are normally open contacts.
