VisionPro IAQ/TrueSTEAM wiring help
Hi,
I just bought a home, and it has a very simple, useless t-stat. I bought the VisionPro IAQ with the EIM and a TrueSTEAM Hum. This may be a very stupid question, but here it goes:
-I only have Red, Green, Yellow, White, and Blue coming to the back of the current t-stat.
-I am not able to run 3 new wires up the wall to connect to the IAQ.
If I clip these wires down next the furnace, can I use 3 of them to power the IAQ even though they are colored? Will it be the right amount of power? I figured then I can run the 5 wires from the other end of the furnace to the EIM and it would work. Thoughts? Thanks so much for your help!

Disconnect the thermostat cable from the furnace.
Use the existing cable to connect the thermostat to the interface module. (tape off the unused wire)
Purchase a 6+ conductor cable (5 minimum, 6th for humidifier?) to connect the module to the furnace; match the letters on the furnace terminal strip to those on the module. (ie - use the red conductor to make the connection between R and R)
Be sure to connect the C terminal, otherwise it won't work.
