Hooking Nest to Humidifier
Dennis Wall on Feb 08, 2013I am trying to do the same with an Aprilaire 445 Humidifier and a simple forced air gas furnace. The humidifier is currently plugged in to a 120V AC outlet that turns on with the furnace. The two 24v wires go to a humistat mounted in the return duct. I'd like to eliminate the hunistat and have The Nest control it. My research so far has led me to the second method employing a relay. Is that correct for my setup? Thanks.Read More

Need help with new humidifier
Just installed a Honeywell Whole-House humidifier HE240 and the pressure switch will not turn off when furnace turns off. If I tap it firmly it will, and then it will also come back on when furnace kicks in, just not off. Can't have this as I will be wasting a lot of water. Help please!Read More
