Hello, New hear and tried reading through all posts relating to nest and a humidifier before posting. I spent a good amount of time thinking above the schematic and my own setup, but wanted to confirm a single difference. In my case, I have a switch between the power transfer and the humidistat and solenoid. Just want to confirm how I would setup the nest with the humidifier (. Below illustrates the setup. I have a Tappan furnace and the honeywell HE220 already wired and setup. Apparently I also have a sail switch in the mix illustrated below. I did try to take either wires (each individually) going to the humidistat to the star on the nest without success. Nest said the wire had no power. So, I guess my question is which wires go to the coil on the aforementioned relay (which I ordered and should be here Wednesday) and which go to the load? Can I simply plug the relay into the power transformer on the load side (piggy backing on existing wiring) and run the nest wire to the other end? Bought it in 2010, noticed this year that instead of coming on and staying on, the humidifier would click on for a few seconds, click off for a coupe of seconds, click on, click off, etc.. It would do this indefinitely. The humidity is 23% with it set to high. In years past, it has been closer to 45%. Any ideas what could be causing this?
