Carrier Infinity FE4ANF005 and Honeywell HE360 Humidifier

Hello all,

How do I wire an HE 360 humidifier to a Carrier Infinity Model# FE4ANF005 furnace? I would like to use the Infinity Control instead of the included Honeywell Humidstat to regulate the humidity. Also, can I do away with the pressure switch?

Thanks in advance for all your help. A new member here and an avid DIY'er.

Yes you can wire your HE360 to the furnace, and you'll need a relay to be used between the HE360 and the furnace's board.

Here is packard pr360 fan relay 24 vac coil. You'll wire the coil side to the furnace's HUM and C. The two yellow wire from HE360 to the contact side.

You can find this relay or similar at your local graingers.

Thanks for the reply Jay. This sounds easy to hookup. I picked up the relay from my local Grainger store. They don't have Packard PR360 but they suggested this. See images below.

Will this work? The 1, 3 is the coil side and 2, 4 is the contact side.

A couple more questions. Why couldn't I wire the 2 yellow wires directly to HUM and COM on furnace board? Why through the relay? Also, I would plug the 6 pin connector in on the HE360 as well as leave the two red wires alone?

I hoped to get this hooked up in the next couple of days.

Thanks again.

Yep, that will work.

Yes, wire it as you mention. 2 and 4 to to the yellow wire. and 1 and 3 to furnace.

the HE360 has it's own power so the yellow wire will be "hot" so if you tie that to the furnace, you are going to meet another "hot" side, and short out and blow a fuse/transformer.

Jay, just wanted to let you know I got this hooked up and runnin last Friday. Works great. It is much quieter than the Carrier HUMCCSFP1016 humidfier that was installed previously. It got the house humidity from 31% to 44% in no time.

Thank you for all your help.
