2 Aprilaire 600's connected to a single #60 controller. Possible?

First off, this is my first post.
This forum has been incredibly helpful with me doing some recent upgrades on our heating system.

We have purchased two 2nd gen. Nest thermostats (one for each level) and have purchased two Aprilaire 600's to replace our old 550 models.
We have one heater (Lennox Whisper Heat) heaters for each level.

I was tempted with using the nest for humidity control as well but decided to keep the Aprilaire #60 controller for the automatic control (at least for right now) as we are in cold MN.

Now to my question.

Since the #60 controller is sensing the the humidity directly from the joined cold air return (meaning both levels), is it possible to use just one controller for two humidifiers?

Seems silly to have two controllers sit next to one another, along with two outside sensors.

The #60 controller inputs are wired to the sensor and the main level heater, but I was wondering is I could simply add the lower level humidifier to the controller output and run a wire from GF to the lower level heater for fan control.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Sorry for the late reply. I didn't receive a notification.
We have 2 Lennox heaters, one for each level.
When we built the house (16 years ago) there were 2 Aprilaire 550's installed with the humidity controller located next to the thermostat at each level.

When I installed the Aprilaire 600, I decided to install the #60 controller on the air return duct, as recommended.
And it looks great upstairs to have the Nest set by itself, without the old looking Humidity controller. I would now like to do the same downstairs.
