Aprilaire 600 Humidifier

I am connecting an Aprilaire 600 Humidifier with Automatic Digital Humidistat to a Lennox G40UH furnace. I have the following wiring connections:

Humidistat (R) - 24V Transformer
Humidistat (C) - 24V Transformer
Humidistat (ODT) - Outdoor Temperature Sensor
Humidistat (W) - Furnace Heat (W)
Humidistat (G) - Thermostat Fan (G)
Humidistat (H) - Humidifier Solenoid
Humidistat (Gf) - Furnace Common (C)

I am having trouble getting power to the solenoid. I have 24V to the humidistat and 24V across W/G. When I turn the furnace fan and put the humidistat in test mode I do not have any voltage across humidistat (H) terminals which power the solenoid. I did test the solenoid with direct voltage and it appears to function properly. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for wiring? Thank you in advance.

REMOVE the Gf from C!!! Gf should be going to G on the furnace.

Do you have the a wire hooked up to the other H?

Where is the other wire from the humidifier going to?

Jay, thank you for your response. I rerouted the Gf wire to the Furnace (G) but did not see any different response. I should have made it more clear in my initial post but both (H) wires are connected to the two wires from the solenoid. After approximately 30 seconds of test mode operation I receive an r1 error but cannot seem to find that explained anywhere.

Only one wire from the humidifier goes to H other wire goes to C. Then should be power going to the other H.

Jay, thank you for your input. I now have the humidistat wired exactly as the picture below:

However, I am still having trouble with the solenoid turning on. The only way I can turn the solenoid on with the current wiring set up is to run the furnace, switch the blower activation (on humidistat controller) to the 'on' position, and turn the humidistat knob to test/reset. The solenoid will then click on and run on settings 4-7. As soon as I turn off the blower activation (on humidistat controller) the solenoid closes regardless if the blower is still running. Thank you.

When you set the switch to AUTO, the humidistat is calling for humidty, but the valve won't open unitill you switch the blower switch to ON?

Yes, the only way I can turn it on is in test mode with the blower activation switch on. Even if the humidity is at 10-15% and on setting 7, it will not call for humidity or open the valve.

Make sure W is getting power when heat is on. If there is power them you may have a bad humidistat.
