Need help with new humidifier

Just installed a Honeywell Whole-House humidifier HE240 and the pressure switch will not turn off when furnace turns off. If I tap it firmly it will, and then it will also come back on when furnace kicks in, just not off. Can't have this as I will be wasting a lot of water.
Help please!

Sounds like you have a defective switch. Call Honeywell to get a replacement switch.

Humidifier installation in a furnace without a blower relay

Hi, I'm installing an Aprilaire 600 humdifier into an older furnace (model NUGG100EA02). I cannot run the blower only, so I'm thinking that I need to install a relay. I specifically want to be able to run the humidifier/furnace in blower only mode. I keep the house pretty warm with a woodstove, so the furnace air certainly will not be cold. Aprilaire 700 with Honeywell IAQ Prestige

I just installed a Honeywell IAQ with the Prestige 2.0 Thermostat. I also just bought an Aprilaire 700 Automatic and need help with the installation. I am forced to install on the return side since I do not have enough room to put it on the coil casing. I had someone give me an estimate and he mentioned something about a relay switch. I also have questions whether or not I need the outdoor sensor since I just installed a wireless Honeywell outdoor switch with my thermostat that reads outdoor humidity. If anyone can help me figure out how to best install this unit utilizing a IAQ from Honeywell which controls a single stage York Diamond 90 I would greatly appreciate it.Read More
